In such a situation, you can safely call the health care helpline number 16263. It is a helpline run by the Ministry of Health. By calling this number you can get advice directly from a doctor on any health related matter. This number is open 24 hours a day.Apart from this, information and phone numbers of government hospitals, doctors or any other information related to health care can be obtained from health care. Any complaints or suggestions regarding government, private healthcare or hospitals can also be reported on this number. The complainant will also be informed about the action taken regarding the complaint.

According to the website of Health Service, a charge of Tk 2.37 per minute (including VAT) is applicable for calling this number. Anyone can get health care online by filling the required information in the prescribed form through this website. But the advice is, if possible, it is better to call with pen and paper. The doctor will know the name of the medicine and write it immediately after knowing its spelling. If you immediately write down the dosage, i.e. how many times a day, you will not have any problems later. But yes, for serious illness the patient should be rushed to the nearest hospital.
